FMSA Young Khulafa’ Institute (YKI)provides weekend Madrasah education to youths aged between 7 to 24. YKI's approach fosters a youth centered learning that thrives on discussions, presentations, group studies, project sharings, case-studies and role plays.
We conduct camps, excursions, qiamullail, and youth development programmes during the school holidays as part of our wholistic approach to help our students in internalising Islam.
YKI Programs
1. YKI Fityan (Saturdays & Sundays)
Interactive approach classes for youth, 13yrs - 24yrs
FMSA has been conducting weekend religious classes in English tailor made for students between 13 and 24 years old since 2007. Our curriculum covers the five essential areas namely, Aqeedah and Akhlaq, Tauheed, Fiqh, Seerah and Qur’an. Integrated into the classes includes organised holiday activities for our students such as Science Centre Trip, Fiqh Picnic, Talks and camps.
Classical approach classes for youth, 13yrs – 24yrs
Our Syabab class offers a more classical approach to Islamic learning. Here, we emphasise tahsin and hafazan of the Qur’an and include a monthly usrah session into the curriculum for youth from 13 -24 years old. Through the syabab class, we hope to empower the Muslim teens with a strong and comprehensive knowledge in Islam based on authentic sources of the Quran and Traditions of the Prophet s.a.w. andto develop a complete personality built upon sound Islamic worldview.
Our Iqra class aims to produce a generation that is Quran literate and will focus on the proper reading of the Quran. It will start at the very basic level of reading (Naadhirah) and will progress to the intermediate and finally the advance module, where the emphasis will be Tahfiz (memorization) and Tajwid. The Quran is a modern day miracle that should be taught and learned by our children who will then become inheritors of Paradise.
“The best among you are those who learn and teach the Quran”
YKI AWlad is a tarbiyah centric, customized programme organised by the mothers and young parents of FMSA members for young parents with children aged 5 to 12 years old. They are divided into 3 age appropriate groups and the children will be tarught by mothers (and fathers for enrichment activities) via a Quranic centric curriculum to lay the foundations of Islam through an interactive approach. This program provides an integrated mother-child involvement that promotes organic family living. _________________________________________________________

Open to beginners and intermediate Arabic learners who yearns to understand the Quran and to be able to read Arabic reference books. Come experience it!

Science Centre Trip 2009
Al Quran & Signs of Allah @ The Science Centre
As part of our curriculum, we brought our Year 1 students to the Science Centre. This is to instill their feeling and understanding that the way this natural world is so detailed and complex shows the Greatness of its Creator, Designer and Sustainer.
Before going to the Science Centre, we show them the video 'The Qur'an Leads the Way to Science' to share with them that Islam and Science are not contradictory, as we brief them some information on natural sciences in the Qur'an as well as how the Qur'an paves way to science itself.
